Huawei’s obsession towards bringing the very best for its users in excellent prices has transformed the company’s fortunes. It has literally taken the smartphone world by storm because of some of its ingenious inventions and the Ascend Mate7 was sent down to further strengthen its group on the well deserve praise Huawei has been getting.
After a couple of Huawei Mate smartphones received some nice reviews upon their launches, the company decided to go with their first ever phablet with the same name. The Ascend Mate7 might be Huawei’s first phablet but it was designed to give much more.
The phablet features an astounding 6.0 inches IPS capacitive touch screen which is surrounded by an elegant shell of aluminium. The word aluminium goes very well with smartphones and in this case, it didn’t disappoint either. The aluminium finish gives it a premium look and almost takes everyone’s attention away from the beastly architecture that is hidden inside the Ascend Mate7.
It is powered by a Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor bolstered by 2GB RAM for the 16GB variant and 3GB RAM for the 32GB variant. Ultimate performance is further guaranteed due to the commanding presence of Huawei’s self made Kirin 925 chipset ensuring that you’re in for a hell of a ride with the Mate7.
The camera merits an honourable mention particularly because of its brilliant quality provided by a 13 megapixel primary sensor. The secondary comes in at 5 megapixels and both of them have been up to the plate when it comes to both their photos and videos. The primary camera also houses HD recording, which is another plus for camera sensitive users.
Other than that, the fingerprint sensor and expandable storage are its noteworthy mentions bringing an end to our review of Huawei’s debutant upper mid-range phablet.
To conclude, the Ascend Mate7 is an exciting prospect coming in at a price that is extremely in-appropriate for it considering what the smartphone contains on the inside. Don’t take me wrong, the price should’ve been more! No need to think much when going for it, just do it!
