Does Y6 2018 come with a fingerprint sensor?
Unfortunately, Huawei did not come up with a fingerprint sensor for Y6 2018 which was a deal breaker for many people. Now that this phone is discontinued many budget and mid-range phones from Huawei do come with a fingerprint sensor and even facial recognition technology.
What is the difference between Huawei Y6 and Y6 Prime?
If we talk about Huawei Y6 2018 and Y6 Prime 2018, then we will not find many differences among these two. Both phones were launched at the same time under the banner of Huawei and are categorized in a similar price range as well. Both have a similar form factor and more or less the same internals. Let us start with the display where both phones house a 5.7" S-IPS LCD display with the resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Both phones are powered by Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipset which is a quad-core processor. Software wise both phones are running on Android 8.0 (Oreo) on EMUI 8.0 on top. Both phones come with 2 storage variants i.e. 16GB with 2Gb of RAM and 32GB with 3GB of RAM. Both support dual SIM option with a dedicated slot for an SD card. If we talk about the camera department, both phones have the same 13MP standard lens on the back which is capable of recording HD videos at 1080@30fps. However, the difference lies in the selfie camera where Huawei Y6 2018 has a 5MP selfie camera and Y6 Prime has an 8MP camera for delightful selfie experience. Another big difference lies in the fingerprint sensor as Huawei Y6 2018 does not have fingerprint sensor while Y6 Prime has it on the back of the phone.
