Build and Design
Vivo Y5 is a budget device from Vivo and no surprise it is built with hard shell plastic. This phone offers modern-day teardrop notch design with thick chin on bottom and noticeable bezels on both sides.
Display
The device houses a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ 1080x2340 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone has a waterdrop notch on top housing the front camera. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass for better resistance against scratches. However, the rating is not confirmed yet.
Camera
As far as the camera department is concerned, the Vivo Y5 has a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear side accompanied by an LED flash. The camera comes with attractive AI-backed features such as Portrait mode and more. On the front, the Vivo Y5 has a 13MP selfie shooter.
Performance
Under the hood, the Y5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 439 chipset with Adreno 505 GPU that acts as a good base for the phone to handle multitasking and other functions including gaming seamlessly. The Y5 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of base internal storage that can be further expanded via micro SD card. The software side is taken care of by Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch 9 OS, which is integrated with top of the line features for a smooth experience.
Battery and Connectivity Support
The Vivo Y5 is backed by a 3,500 mAh battery. For connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel while the front camera on the phone enables Face Unlock feature.
